**Scores for the source reporting** (0-100, assessing the original journalism this article was written from, not this write-up):

- Trust 30 of 100, higher is better. The central claims are corroborated across many outlets, but no sources are named on the record.
- Craft 50 of 100, higher is better. The reporting is clear and holds together, but lacks quotes from affected parties or details on what happens next.

**The short version**

- Inde Navarrette is set to host Saturday Night Live's Halloween night episode.
- Comedian and influencer Druski will host an episode on November 7, becoming the first digital content creator to host the show.
- John Mulaney will return to host for his seventh time on November 14.
- The musical guests for these episodes will be Gracie Abrams (with Navarrette), The Strokes (with Druski), and Phoebe Bridgers (with Mulaney).

Saturday Night Live has announced its upcoming hosts for season 52. Inde Navarrette, star of "Obsession," will host the Halloween night episode, with Gracie Abrams as the musical guest. This marks Navarrette's SNL debut and the first time the show has aired live on Halloween in six years.

The following week, comedian and influencer Druski is scheduled to host on November 7. He will be the first digital content creator to host the program. The musical guest for Druski's episode will be the band The Strokes, who are touring in support of their album "Reality Awaits."

On November 14, John Mulaney will return to host SNL for his seventh time. Mulaney, a former writer for the show, will join the ranks of its most frequent hosts. Phoebe Bridgers will serve as the musical guest for Mulaney's episode, promoting her album "Lost Weekend."

## Disagreements in reporting

Variety reported that The Strokes are making their fifth appearance as musical guest, while WBAL stated it is their fourth. Variety also noted that Phoebe Bridgers is making her third appearance as musical guest, whereas WBAL stated it is her second.

## What the coverage left out

None of the left-rated digests mention that the Halloween episode will be the first time SNL has aired live on Halloween night in six years, a detail included in the full reports from WBAL and Variety. None of the right-rated digests mention Druski's status as the first digital content creator to host the show, nor do they mention John Mulaney's previous writing tenure for SNL or his upcoming film and comedy tour.

## How the sides framed it

### Left

- Left-rated reports led with the announcement of the hosts for the upcoming Saturday Night Live episodes. Multiple reports highlighted John Mulaney's return to host for the seventh time, with Variety and The Wrap specifically mentioning this detail in their headlines. Variety also noted Druski's status as the first digital content creator to host the show. Several left-rated outlets, including Variety and Billboard, mentioned the musical guests for each host, specifying Phoebe Bridgers for Mulaney and The Strokes for Druski. NBC Miami and NBC Boston focused on Druski and Mulaney hosting November episodes, with NBC Miami noting Druski's debut and Mulaney's seventh hosting gig.

### Centre

- Centre-rated reports focused on the announcement of the hosts for Saturday Night Live's season 52. Many outlets, including WBAL, Delta Daily News, and MyClallamCounty.com, used headlines that listed all three announced hosts: Inde Navarrette, Druski, and John Mulaney. WBAL provided details about each host's episode, including the musical guests and specific dates. Several centre-rated reports also mentioned that the Halloween episode would be Navarrette's SNL debut and the first live Halloween broadcast in six years.

### Right

- The single right-rated report below, from regionalmedianews.com, used a headline that listed all three announced hosts: Inde Navarrette, Druski, and John Mulaney. The digest stated that Inde Navarrette would host the Halloween night episode with Gracie Abrams as musical guest, and that it would be Navarrette's SNL debut.

**Provisional coverage gap:** right. The watch is not closed, so this is not yet a settled blindspot finding.
