**Scores for the source reporting** (0-100, assessing the original journalism this article was written from, not this write-up):

- Trust 42 of 100, higher is better. The central claim is attributed to a named body in one full report, but most sources are digests.
- Craft 45 of 100, higher is better. The majority of sources are digests, limiting the depth of reporting and analysis.
- Hype 41 of 100, lower is better. Headlines use phrases like 'Critical Contact' and 'West Closely Followed' without strong substantiation.

## How the sides framed it

### Left

- The Korea Times, the sole left-rated report, highlighted Pezeshkian's statement that the Middle East can solve its problems without US involvement. It also quoted Pezeshkian saying US actions make it easier for countries to move towards greater multilateralism and strengthen cooperation with Russia and other nations subject to unilateral US sanctions. The report noted that Moscow has been looking to mediate to help end the Middle East war, which broke out on February 28 with US-Israeli strikes on Iran. It also mentioned Iran's Foreign Minister stating Russia and Iran have 'never' worked so closely.

- Digi 24 reported Pezeshkian stated the region could solve problems without depending on the United States. He added that mutual support was possible in scientific, economic, industrial, cultural, security, and military areas. Putin mentioned a private discussion about the region's situation.
- PressTV reported Pezeshkian thanked Putin for political and economic support. The leaders discussed regional tensions and bilateral ties. TRT World included a date and location for the meeting, noting it occurred at the GECF summit in Moscow.

### Right

- The four right-rated reports led with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's assertion that the Middle East can solve its problems without US involvement.
