*Former US president claims growing security cooperation could lead to normalization deal.*

**Scores for the source reporting** (0-100, assessing the original journalism this article was written from, not this write-up):

- Trust 42 of 100, higher is better. Central claim attributed to Trump, with two full reports and multiple digests corroborating.
- Craft 57 of 100, higher is better. Reporting is largely based on a single statement, with limited additional detail or context provided.
- Hype 41 of 100, lower is better. Headlines and opening paragraphs suggest a breakthrough, but the body of reporting indicates ongoing uncertainty.

**The short version**

- Donald Trump stated that Israel has been assisting Saudi Arabia in its fight against Houthi rebels.
- Trump expressed optimism that Saudi Arabia could join the Abraham Accords, suggesting normalization is closer than ever.
- Saudi Arabia has not publicly confirmed the extent of Israeli assistance.
- Sources familiar with the matter indicated the Saudi crown prince does not trust Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Former US President Donald Trump announced on Friday that Israel has provided assistance to Saudi Arabia in its conflict with Houthi rebels. Trump also indicated that Saudi Arabia might be closer than ever to joining the Abraham Accords, a series of normalization agreements between Israel and several Arab nations initiated during his presidency.

Speaking to reporters, Trump stated, "Israel has been very helpful to Saudi Arabia." He added that Saudi Arabia is "very happy to have Israel’s support and our support." When asked if Saudi Arabia should accept Israeli help against the Houthis, Trump responded affirmatively, stating, "Yeah, I do. I think they will."

## Disagreement on Saudi trust in Netanyahu

While Trump expressed optimism about normalization, sources familiar with the matter told Ynet News that the Saudi crown prince does not trust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. These sources indicated that progress toward normalization would be difficult while Netanyahu remains in office, with Riyadh and other Arab governments awaiting Israel's upcoming election for potential political change.

### Right
