Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) reported finding an Nvidia Jetson Orin computer module in Russia’s new S-71M Monochrome cruise missile. The module, used in robotics and artificial intelligence applications, was recovered from a missile described as capable of autonomous targeting. The HUR published its findings on the War&Sanctions portal, which tracks foreign electronics in Russian weapons.
The S-71M missile is reported to carry a 250-kilogram warhead, fly at speeds of 500-600 km/h, and have a range of 350-400 km. It is launched from a Su-57 aircraft and designed to search for targets independently. Ukrainian intelligence estimates Russia imported approximately 2.2 million electronic components in 2025, many routed through intermediary countries such as China.
In a separate discovery, two CTS chips found in a Russian Geran-5 drone were manufactured in September 2025 and February 2024, after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022. The chips were produced by Texas Instruments, CTS Corporation, Monolithic Power Systems, and Infineon, according to investigations by the Kyiv Independent.
