Former Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens was sentenced to 41 months in prison and a $100,000 fine for soliciting bribes in exchange for awarding city contract bids. Former Jackson City Council President Aaron Banks also received a prison sentence, and former Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba pleaded guilty.
