ADNOC Gas plans $8bn expansion and east-coast LNG plant to bypass Hormuz

ADNOC Gas will invest over $8 billion to expand gas processing and build a new LNG export plant at Ruwais, doubling capacity to 15 million tons per year by late 2028. The company is also considering a second LNG facility on the UAE’s east coast to avoid the Strait of Hormuz, where shipping has been disrupted by regional conflict.
