Saskatchewan to impose 50% tax on US alcohol in retaliation

Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe announced a 50% reciprocal tax on alcohol from the United States, to be implemented on September 8. This action is a response to US tariffs on Canadian alcohol, which began on August 22. Sales of American liquor in Saskatchewan have already fallen by 40%.
