Suspect in synagogue shooting was former soldier, minister says

Defence Minister David McGuinty stated it was concerning that the suspect in a synagogue shooting, Sean Ward, was a former soldier. Ward died in a shootout with police after serving approximately five years in the Canadian Armed Forces.
