The Senate passed a stopgap funding bill early on 8 August 2026, funding federal agencies through 11 December. The 90-6 vote included Democratic provisions to block money transfers to the Border Patrol and delay a national ban on intoxicating hemp products. The House must approve the measure before it reaches the President.
