The Panama-flagged oil tanker MT GEM NO. 2 was attacked by a drone at Sharjah Anchorage on October 9. All 22 Indian seafarers on board were reported safe, confirmed by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. The UAE National Guard also reported rescuing 22 Asian crew members after a fire broke out on the tanker.
