A fire at a school in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo, killed at least 17 people, including children. Over 50 students were hospitalised, with some later dying from injuries. The cause of the fire remains unknown. Bukavu is controlled by the Rwanda-backed AFC/M23 rebels.
