An artificial intelligence tool developed at Imperial College London analyses electrocardiograms in under two seconds to identify signs of heart failure and valve disease. The system, trained on millions of ECGs, detected up to 81% of heart failure cases and 90% of valve disease cases in a US study of 67,000 patients.
