A suicide bomber detonated a vehicle bomb at a mosque within Kohat’s police headquarters on 18 September 2026. At least 20‑21 people died, most of them police officers, and dozens were injured. President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the attack and Saudi Arabia expressed solidarity with Pakistan.
