Hsu Chun-ying sentenced to seven years for conspiring with Chinese officials

A New Taipei court sentenced Hsu Chun-ying, a Chinese-born Taiwanese citizen, to seven years in prison for conspiring with Chinese officials to influence Taiwanese politics. Prosecutors said she met with Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs officials and transferred funds outside banking channels.
