The Israeli military and Shin Bet confirmed the killing of Nael Abu Obeid, commander of Hamas's Rafah Brigade, in a strike in southern Gaza. He replaced Mohammed Shabana, who was killed in May 2025. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated, 'No terrorist is immune, and Hamas will not be in Gaza.'
