Prosecutors will seek the death penalty against Nigel Max Edge for a mass shooting in Southport, North Carolina, in September 2025 that killed three people. Edge, a former Marine with a history of traumatic brain injury and mental illness, has previously been deemed unable to assist in his legal proceedings.
