Hamas agrees to surrender weapons and transfer Gaza authority

Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza have agreed to surrender their weapons and transfer civilian and security authority to a UN-recognized transitional administration, according to Gaza Peace Board envoy Nikolay Mladenov. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the plan.
