Council of Europe condemns Ratko Mladic glorification as crime

The Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Michael O’Flaherty, has condemned the public glorification of Ratko Mladic, a convicted war criminal. O’Flaherty stated that such acts are a criminal offence under Bosnian law and not protected free speech. Mladic's body was transported to Belgrade for a funeral scheduled for September 7, 2026.
