A Houthi missile hit Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport, killing one person and wounding about twelve. Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia condemned the strike as a dangerous escalation. Japan's foreign minister Toshimitsu Motegi also issued a statement of condemnation and condolences on 11 October.
