MaineHealth’s trustees voted to close the labour and delivery unit at Lincoln Hospital in Damariscotta, leaving three counties without obstetric services. The decision, opposed by state officials and community groups, follows 11 other maternity unit closures in Maine since 2015 and will move services to Brunswick.
