US sets softwood lumber import tax at almost 35%

The U.S. Department of Commerce has set total import taxes on Canadian softwood lumber at almost 35 percent. The BC Lumber Trade Council said this figure is a reduction from the 45 percent rate announced last August, but still represents a significant burden.
