An OpenAI engineer, Abdulrahman Alfozan, has been arrested and charged with installing a recording device in a company conference room. Prosecutors stated he had booked one-way tickets to Saudi Arabia for himself and family members before his arrest. OpenAI confirmed his termination and stated no sensitive data was accessed.
