The New York Police Department recorded 205 confirmed antisemitic hate crimes between January and July 2026, an 8.5% increase from the same period in 2025. Jews accounted for over half of all hate crime victims despite representing 10% of the city’s population. Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s office did not respond to allegations linking his rhetoric to the rise.
