Russia launched a large aerial assault in and around Ukraine’s capital region and the Odesa region on Monday evening into Tuesday morning. Ukrainian authorities reported that at least 11 people were killed and more than a dozen others wounded, including three children. The attack used ballistic, cruise, and anti-radar missiles, alongside 218 drones, about a third of which were jet-powered, according to Ukraine's air force. Missile and drone strikes were recorded at 28 locations.
The main targets were the Kyiv and Odesa regions. In Kyiv, the strikes hit civilian infrastructure and residential buildings, resulting in eight deaths within the city and three in surrounding areas.
