The Trump administration has started building patrol roads, vehicle barriers and surveillance infrastructure in Big Bend National Park, Texas, as part of a border security project. Local residents, officials and environmental groups oppose the work, which began on 6 August, citing low illegal crossing rates and ecological damage.
