Taiwan envoy Lee Yi-yang boycotts Nagasaki atomic bomb memorial over seating

Taiwan’s top representative in Japan, Lee Yi-yang, boycotted the 81st anniversary memorial of the Nagasaki atomic bombing after his delegation was not seated among diplomatic missions. Nagasaki officials said the seating was not clearly distinguished as nondiplomatic, while Lee called the arrangement an insult to Taiwan’s sovereignty.
