Iranian officials told the Financial Times they are assessing strikes on US military assets in southeastern Europe if the US escalates the conflict. Targets include bases in Bulgaria and Cyprus, and submarine fibre-optic cables in the Strait of Hormuz. US President Donald Trump said no negotiations are underway and the naval blockade remains in force.
