A new study found trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) in the blood of all 110 volunteers across nine European countries. Concentrations were significantly higher than other PFAS compounds. The European Food Safety Authority has lowered its acceptable daily intake for TFA, classifying it as toxic for reproduction.
