A fire broke out on 10 August 2026 at diesel tank No. 402 at Libya’s Zawiya oil depot, destroying an estimated 4.5 million litres of gasoline. The cause remains unknown, and no casualties were reported. The blaze followed a drone strike at the same refinery two days earlier.
